Meet Dr. Tori Broems , Ph.D
Dr. Tori Broems, Ph.D is a warm and experienced licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist. With a focus on connecting with individuals and working well with children, adolescents, and adults as well as providing evidence-based treatment, Dr. Tori brings a distinctive set of skills to her practice and in her work as a clinician. Dr. Tori is an integrative psychologist which means she takes on the approach of a variety of different modalities to best meet the needs of each client she works with. Her practice is rooted in a cognitive-behavioral model. She fosters a warm aurora and allows the reinforcement of the fact that we are all human first. Her ability to integrate evidenced based work in an easily digestible and practical way allows clients to foster self-awareness, emotion regulation and move forward toward goals. Dr. Tori ensures humor and connectedness are incorporated in sessions as well.
Dr. Tori understands the critical role a therapeutic relationship plays. In addition, she emphasizes the use of effective strategies and guidance, which empowers clients to navigate challenges and strengthen themselves.
Currently, Dr. Tori holds a full-time position as a school psychologist in a public school. She completed her internship and post-doctoral training at The Quad Preparatory School, a school for twice-exceptional (2e) children, those who possess exceptional gifts and talents and also have difficulties with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact their learning and overall school success. She has also worked to provide individual therapy to adolescents and adults for two years at a group private practice.
Dr. Tori’s collaborative, modern and human first approach enables clients to feel supported, safe and nurtured. Her therapeutic environment allows her to empower children, adolescents, and adults to overcome challenges, normalize mental health struggles, develop coping skills, and build emotion regulation.

Outside of Therapy
Dr. Tori is always human first. She was born and raised on Long Island and also lived in Manhattan for 4 years. She enjoys long walks (get those steps in), pilates classes, cooking, connecting with friends, coffee, fashion and traveling with her husband. She loves a good Netflix binge as well as a spontaneous day. Outside sessions she also enjoys normalizing mental health struggles.
